Sr. QA Automation Engineer

About the role

As a Selenium, API, and Appium Automation Engineer at Alphabin, you will be a key player in our commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions to our clients. In this role, you will take charge of designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts for web, API, and mobile application testing, ensuring the reliability and performance of our applications.

Key responsibility

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web applications using Selenium WebDriver and Java.
• Ensure robust and scalable test automation frameworks.
• Collaborate with the development team to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Strong understanding of core Java concepts such as data types, loops, conditional statements, and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
• Proficiency in handling exceptions, collections (e.g., ArrayList, HashMap), and multithreading concepts.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for API testing using Java and RestAssured.
• Identify, document, and thoroughly report defects, and work closely with the development team to facilitate issue resolution.
• Conduct manual testing when necessary to ensure comprehensive test coverage and the highest quality standards.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for mobile applications using Appium.
• Ensure compatibility of automated tests across different mobile devices and platforms (iOS, Android).
• Collaborate with mobile development teams to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement effective test strategies and test plans.
• Participate in test case design and test scenario development for web, API, and mobile applications.
• Execute automated test suites and meticulously analyze test results to identify defects and performance bottlenecks.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on web, API, and mobile application testing and automation.
• Proficiency in Java programming for test automation, along with strong knowledge of Selenium WebDriver, RestAssured, and Appium.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, test case design, and test execution.
• Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN) and continuous integration tools.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as TestNG or JUnit.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
